Jaime Alise Yamanaka is a Japanese-American musician and writer based in Tokyo, working across essay, poetry, and song. Her work explores memory, the practice of noticing, art, and everyday objects through Japanese and Western cultural influences.

She is the lead singer and lyricist for petalhead, the Tokyo-based indie pop duo, who released their debut album, The Uncaging of a Paper Crane, in 2025.
